The Jaro Belfry – in a different light

The Jaro Cathedral in Iloilo City, has long been a symbol of faith for the Ilonggos. What sets it apart from all the other age-old churches built throughout the Panay region is its massive belfry tower – surprisingly built across the street and nowhere near the church structure. Its a stunning sight in broad daylight.

However, my journey to morning person-hood has led me to so many other wonderful sights that don’t necessarily need the melodrama of the midday heat or the setting sun.
